Hello!
I'm Caroline, and I'm a native English speaker from beautiful Brighton, in the South-East of England.
I am TEFL certified, and have an extra certificate in teaching English one-to-one. I am also a secondary mathematics teacher and have taught maths to 11-16 year olds in Brighton for the past five years.
Before that, I was mentoring and supporting students at the University of Brighton – I love to work with people of all ages and backgrounds to help them achieve their goals. As your English teacher, I will do everything I can to help you learn, improve and perfect your English.
Each lesson with me will be carefully tailored to your needs and ability. I want you to enjoy each lesson, and to see your English improving with every class.

Teaching Specialty:
It's very normal for language learners to carry over the sounds and stresses used in their native language, but sometimes this can make it difficult for others to understand you. I can help you practice and improve your pronunciation so you can be more easily understood by others.
Acting out role plays is a great way to practice the English you'll need in a variety of situations. For instance, role plays can be used to practice situations in work (eg: taking a phone call/talking with a customer/receiving complaints/negotiating deals) or out (eg: buying groceries/meeting a new friend/sharing opinions). If there is a specific situation you want to practice, just let me know - I will create a bespoke lesson for you.
We can talk about whatever you want or need English for - this could be going to the shops, speaking on the phone, ordering food, hobbies and interests... anything you like!
