Hi, my name is Alex Vickery and I am from Houston, Texas. I am a TEFL-certified instructor through the International TEFL Academy’s 170-hour course. I currently teach English as a foreign language in Madrid. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s in journalism and have years of experience in the writing/editing fields, so I have a strong command of the English language in a teaching and professional capacity. I have extensive experience traveling and living abroad. I have lived in Dublin, Ireland and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have also traveled extensively through Southeast Asia. I am fluent in Brazilian Portuguese, can speak intermediate level Spanish, and have taken beginner French and Japanese courses. I love meeting people from around the world and learning about different cultures.
