Hello!
I am a native English speaker from New York City. I attended law school in New York City. In college (also in New York), I studied Art History and French. I was certified to teach English in Prague, Czech Republic.
I love helping people learn and improve their English in a comfortable and fun environment.
We will work on achieving your goals! This can include anything, for instance, conversational English (including interview prep, planning a trip to the US/ NY, speaking English at work, English for lawyers, etc). In every lesson, we focus on improving your grammer, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I have taught large classes, but I love teaching 1-on-1, because students benefit from the individual attention.
In addition to teaching and law, I worked in communications, social media, and programming with museums throughout New York City, and I have experience in sales, recruitment, and fundraising.
In my free time, I enjoy visiting museums, exercising, traveling, reading, and studying foreign languages. I'm excited to meet you, and to help you speak English fluently!
Teaching Specialty:
I have helped students prepare for MBA interviews (2 students have been accepted to Harvard Business School), job interviews, promotions, and USA B-1 visa interviews.
I prepare fun lesson plans for kids to work on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and listening. They have so much fun - they forget they are learning! I have also helped teenagers study for English class in school and pass English proficiency exams.
I can help you prepare for general business situations. I teach a lot of useful expressions, provide personal stories and articles that will introduce you to business culture in the states. I can also prepare mock interviews and review resumes.
I will prepare you for conversations with native and non-native English speakers by teaching you phrases, and by helping you improve your speed and pronunciation.
I strive to broaden my student's vocabulary by teaching them new words in lessons, and by designing lessons around vocabulary words. I also teach phrases that will make you sound more like a native speaker!
I improve students pronunciation by catching their mistakes and by providing them with activities to practice with me, and on their own.
I teach students grammar by catching their mistakes, and then making detailed lessons designed to improve their weak areas.
