Transferring educational skills from my music degree to teaching English.
Hi everyone! My name is Sam, I am from Kansas, USA, and am currently traveling through South East Asia. At the moment I am in Thailand at a Buddhist temple teaching the monks English- children and adults - while learning some meditation practices.
I am a teacher, a musician, an artist, a sailor and a traveler. I love to camp and travel and try to participate in all of the above mentioned activities as often as possible.
In our lessons we can talk openly about any of our interests or any lesson plans you may pick out. I have a lot of material for IELTS and different subjects, and I specialize in pronunciation.
Teaching Specialty:
In every language, slang gives your vocabulary some spice. It makes us sound like a native when we can say things like a native would say. Let's focus on those words and phrases and fool some natives together.
Language is most fun when used with others. We'll learn English that you can use in most general conversations and prepare you for "small talk" with others.
By focusing on individual vowel vocalizations and breaking up trouble words, we can identify and fix issues in our pronunciation of a word.
For somebody who has grown up with English, grammar is like music - if it doesn't sound right, it probably isn't. Together we will look at the rules and examples and build an intimate knowledge of how to build sentences.

I have experience going over and studying for IELTS exams. We can delve into any of the 3 specific categories and make sure that you are prepared for your upcoming test.
Because of my experience in debate, musical performance, creating personal speeches for different platforms, and my time as a lawyer's son, I know how to devise and apply appropriate speech methods for any instance.
In depth conversation in any number of topics helps us learn more how to use already learned vocabulary as well as fill in knowledge gaps we may find on the way.
