Hello, I'm Brooke. I'm from the USA, but I've been living in Mexico for quite a number of years. I spent about 5 years teaching English online as well as several years working with adults and teenagers in an international language learning facility in Mexico.
My interests include baking, doing ceramics, reading, and walking my dog. As a fellow language learner (of Spanish), I understand how frustrating it can be to not be able to say what you want AND how rewarding it is to be able to express yourself after much practice! I'd love to help you improve your English language fluency.
Lessons mostly involve conversation practice regarding topics of interest to you. I will provide close attention and detailed feedback regarding your word choice, grammar, and general fluency.

Teaching Specialty:
These lessons will focus on the use of phrasal verbs. I will share with you materials regarding the most common phrasal verbs, and we will practice using them in context during lessons (using PowerPoint slides that I developed).
In these sessions, we will review any documents that you are preparing, such as resumes, cover letters, essays, or emails. I have experience as a writer and editor, and I will provide you with corrections and suggestions to improve the flow of your written communication.
In these sessions, we will converse freely about a variety of topics. I will offer you detailed feedback on grammatical errors, word choice, and pronunciation. I can also provide you with a video or article prior to the lesson, and we will use that theme as a foundation for our discussion.
