I taught English to university students in Nagoya, Japan for 3 months, with a focus on pronunciation, public speaking, and conversation skills.
In this position, I taught ESL to middle and high school students in France.
In this position, I completed extended teaching practice post-CELTA. This included collaborative planning, peer observation, shared evaluation and feedback. Within this framework, I created lesson plans and taught students at two distinct levels (Beginner and Upper).
In this position, I instructed mainly young adults who were improving their English fluency for university and work. I planned and taught intensive and semi-intensive courses (grammar-focused) designed to improve students' writing abilities, presentation strategies, and general communication skills. I designed and led in-depth discussion group classes (Inlingua "Oral Track" courses). Additionally, I planned and chaperoned extracurricular tourism trips for the students including visits to Washington, DC's historical museums.
