My name is Dr. Rod Rogers. My students call me Doctor Rod or Rod. I am from the United States. I am currently living and working in Guadalajara, Mexico.
I'm a fun, friendly and professional American teacher. My classes are relaxed, but productive. I'm a fellow language learner (Spanish).

I have TEFL certifications in both general and business English. I have extensive experience with language learning and teaching all ages in Asia, Europe, and North America.

We can talk about any topic that interests you, or we can choose business topics that will help you improve your ability to smoothly converse in English. I have access to extensive teaching plans and resources for business English. I've owned my own business for many years, have been a salesman and sales coach, and was the president of my business networking group (Business Networking International). I was a professional speaker for over 20 years with extensive experience and high-level skills in preparing and delivering speeches. I can teach you from experience how to best present yourself and your business in English.
Practicing free conversation is an essential part of learning a new language. I am friendly and easy to talk to. I will gently correct your pronunciation, vocabulary or grammar as needed. I have been a professional speaker and my students tell me that my pronunciation and rate of speech is very easy to understand.
I'm a published author and writer. I can edit your writing and teach you how to write smoothly and clearly in English. I love to write and enjoy teaching my students how to write well.
I love to talk and I'm a great listener. We can practice general conversational skills, learn to describe objects, learn some slang, and develop your situational vocabulary. I have access to unlimited teaching plans and resources.
