Hello, my name is Samantha. I am from Maryland, in the USA. I have been teaching children in schools for three years. I also teach student English as a second language online! I love teaching and it has always been a passion of mine. I love helping others and love helping people reach their goals.
I taught in the public schools right out of college. Here, I worked with students from all backgrounds. I even had students that did not speak English. I remember seeing how frustrated they were trying to learn math in a language they did not know. This encouraged me to want to help others learn a second language.
I know learning a new language can be frustrating and difficult. That is why I try to make every class fun and meaningful. We can talk about topics that you are interested in or things I have prepared. I am happy to help you in any area you would like to improve from vocabulary, grammar, reading, and conversations.

The best way to learn a new language is to use the language. I'm happy and ready to have a conversation about whatever interests you to help you improve your everyday use of the English language.
I have been teaching new English learners online and am familiar with the struggles people run into when first learning a new language. We can work on areas you want to improve or have a conversation and I can help you form the sentences along the way.
I love teaching children. I try to teach them about things they currently have in their lives or homes. This makes the new words or sentences more meaningful and easier to remember.

I was a math teacher at a local public school. I helped students learn math, science, and social studies. and maintained accurate and detailed notes on student performance throughout classes to ensure reliable data was obtained. I regularly met with students in small groups to discuss process and vocabulary. Here I also provided feedback to students and parents. This was both in person and written feedback.
Teaching Professional
I work with an online company teaching English to students in China. I regularly provide feedback to students and parents. I love helping students practice a work that they have found hard. The joy and excitement they show when they finally hit mastery is priceless!
