Hello friends, my name is Jarrod. I'm a TESOL certified English teacher with over 3000 hours teaching experience, with both children and adults online. I'm very patient and relaxed, have a passion for teaching and will do my best to help achieve your goal.
My teaching style is adaptive. All students have different strengths and weaknesses when learning something new. My goal is to adapt to the needs of each individual student, so they get the most out of every lesson. Interesting and fun classes are very important to students willingness and ability to learn. I often joke around, using exaggerated facial expressions, props or toys, and have a cool reward system, including scoops of ice cream or pizza slices for children. Students interests are important too, I ask about their favorite food, animal or game, and then tie it into the class objectives. Finally, a primary focus of my class is STT (student talk time). Encouraging students to talk as much as possible throughout every class, boosts confidence and helps the leaning process.
Teaching Specialty:
Focus is on making you sound like a native English speaker. It's ok to have an accent, but sometime it can make it difficult for people to understand. Clear pronunciation and the elimination of incorrect speech habits, will greatly improve your English abilities to sound like a native speaker.
