Hi! I'm Adam, a CELTA-qualified native English speaker, recently returned to living in London after living in Vietnam for six years, working as Head of Teaching for a well-respected English language centre for adult students.
I previously held senior positions in recruitment businesses for over a decade, including as the Director of Learning and Development for one of the UK’s leading recruitment companies, training consultants in interview best practice, sales, negotiation and communication skills.
I enjoy supporting students in developing their business English language, preparing for interviews (including job, MBA and college entrance) and tests such as Versant, as well as everyday conversational English.
Teaching Specialty:
I am very familiar with the Versant format and have produced many practice test sessions to help students prepare for the test.
By discussing real life situations, we can ensure that each lesson is specific and relevant to you so that you can immediately put into practice what you have learned in your work and personal life.
Guided by your interests, a free conversation allows us to focus on your fluency and introduce new words to build your vocabulary.
Prior to teaching English I worked in a sales environment, selling media and recruitment services to high-profile UK retailers and have trained many sales people and recruitment consultants in negotiation skills and techniques.
I have a wealth of business experience and of training of business professionals
I have worked in the UK recruitment industry for 20 years so am well placed to advise on best practice and interview top tips alongside spoken English used in interview. I have worked with students to support them with college/university/MBA preparation and to feel confident for job interviews.
