Introduction:

Language learning doesn't need to feel like homework; we can discuss anything & everything.

Hey. :] My name is Andy. I'm a 28 year old stay at home mom living in Ohio. I studied psychology & graphic design in college. I like to read, draw, paint, listen to music, kill time on Reddit, & play video games (Fallout 4 is my jam) in my spare time.

I have always had a knack for teaching & explaining things to others in a way that they will understand regardless of skill level. I also have experience tutoring middle school & high school kids in English, Social Studies, & SAT/ACT prep.

I am super comfortable talking about any subject that you want to discuss. Obviously, I am willing to talk about normal things, but to be fluent, eventually you need to know how to talk about current events, culture, sex and anatomy, politics, religion, slang/swear words & other taboo or unusual subjects. (Besides, the first thing everyone wants to learn in a foreign language is how to swear, right?) So, don't hesitate to ask about any subject that interests you. The more unique or unusual a topic of conversation is, the more interesting it will be for both of us. I am also super opinionated and enjoy debating (in a friendly way) everything from current events to classic philosophies.

I can be very flexible with lessons to fit your needs. Basically, whatever you need help with, I'm willing to help. I will strive to make my lessons interesting for both of us & help you learn new things along the way. I look forward to meeting you.

Teaching Specialty:

Everyday English › Slang

Slang & curse words aren't usually taught in language textbooks, but they are a vital part of any language. These lessons are super fun & you're sure to remember these terms, even if you don't use them often.

Everyday English › Free Conversation

Talking about something that interests you has been proven to be the best way to learning another language.

Topics › Discussion

I will help develop your language skills through discussing new & interesting topics. We will strengthen your vocabulary without making it feel like homework.
