My personality is friendly and outgoing.
I love to travel even if I don't do it often, but I am always interested in learning about different cultures. I enjoy cooking, especially Italian food. I work as a tour guide with an Art History major, so I love art, cultural history, world heritage sites and archeology. My greatest achievement was following my dream and changing countries from the USA to Italy.
I have been teaching English for about 20 years now, since I moved to Italy. I have taught students of all ages and all criteria, from job interview preparation, to grammar, to exam preparation, to travel vocabulary.
Having acquired a second language myself, I know what it is like to learn another language. This is why I believe speaking is the most important part of English learning.
My teaching style begins with my personality; friendly and outgoing. My goal is to get my students talking as much as possible. I enjoy free conversation and I think it is important for the student to be able to express themselves comfortably. I also enjoy reading articles along with the student for pronunciation, vocabulary then, discussion of the article.
I am encouraging, up-beat and chatty.
