I'm Chris, 38 years old, from London.
I began my ESL career in 2014, in Xi'an, China, to work for an English training school. Since then, I haven't looked back.

I started teaching English in 2014, at a large English school in China. I spend a lot of time training and learning how to be a more effective teacher depending on the students' needs.
As a manager of an English school, I regularly planned and delivered training for the teachers in my team - training them on different teaching methods, and classroom practices to help their students' learning.
In February 2020, I led my school through the transition from teaching in a classroom to teaching online, so I have a very good understanding of the challenges of learning online, and teaching methods to have a successful online class.

It is important for me to find some topics that my students are interested in, then plan the lesson around that with a focus on a communicative function, including some useful grammar and vocabulary. Each lesson will have a clear learning aim, which I make sure my student understands.
As a teacher, I'm very creative, I love creating fun and engaging lessons for my students. I have a very patient approach to class, using effective correction strategies to help build confidence.
