My name is Elizabeth, I live in Toronto Canada and I'm happy to be a part of the Skimatalk community!!
I studied linguistics and second language pedagogy at the university of Toronto and I have been teaching English as a foreign language for several years in Canada, Europe and Asia.
If you're a student, I can help with exam or TEFL preparation, or if you're a business professional, I can help you with anything from letter writing to conversation skills.
Even if you're just interested in learning English for fun and meeting people, I can help you develop your language skills to be top notch.
As a language learner I can appreciate the time and effort that it takes to learn a new language. It's very rewarding to share my knowledge of English and open new opportunities for those who want to communicate effectively.
My preferred method of teaching involves using real-world situations. While reading articles helps with pronunciation and vocabulary, it may not be so effective in real life. My goal is to get you thinking and getting creative with the English you learn.
I want you to get the most out of each lesson, but I do suggest minimum 50 min session. I am available outside of session times to answer questions and give feedback.
