Introduction:

Can either cover formal aspects of English or informal conversation if preferred.

I am Gerard, a native speaker of British English. I have an enthusiasm for language generally and English in particular. Whether you're studying for an exam or test, and would like help preparing for it, or you would just like to practise your spoken English, I'm happy to work with you. I can be flexible in my approach depending on your need and your level.

As well as being CELTA-qualified (Cambridge-accredited Level 5 course), I studied French and German to A level (Spanish to GCSE) and my Philosophy degree included a 2 year module in Linguistics (semantics, syntax, phonetics).

I left the University of Leeds Finance division in 2023 and my work there included aspects of training and coaching, which I particularly enjoyed.

I look forward to working with you on your English journey.
