Introduction:
I am an enthusiastic, creative and patient English teacher.
My name is Jared Bretholtz and I am from Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated with honors from New York University with a Bachelors of Science in Studio Art from the Steinhardt School of Education. I have been teaching Conversational English for over 5 years to children and adults. Since May of 2020 I have taught over 4000 English classes with VIPKid to students and I am proud to currently have a perfect 5 Apple Feedback rating from students and their parents. I am an enthusiastic, creative and patient teacher.
I spend my time in between Boston, Massachusetts where I was born and raised and central Argentina where I have an incredible 4-year-old daughter. I speak Spanish fluently. In my free time I am a painter and illustrator and I am currently writing a children’s book. I teach drawing and painting and I am a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. I pay bass and guitar in an improvisational rock band. I am a tree planting ecologist. I look forward to meeting you and having some fun together. See you in the classroom!
Teaching Specialty:
I have been teaching Conversational English for over 5 years to children and adults and I have taught over 4000 ESL classes in the past 14 months. We will look at sentence structure, pronoun usage, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. We will also cover vocabulary, prefixes, tenses and correct conjugation. I am extremely patient with new English students and I understand that every student learns at their own pace.
In Basic General English we will cover everything from Conversational Speaking, well rounded English Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Phonics, Native Pronunciation, and Vocabulary. I focus on getting you speaking as much as possible. I am able to tailor the class to your person level and needs. My classes are easy and always fun.
As an experienced ESL teacher, I am able to guide you through Conversational Speaking, English Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Phonics, Native Pronunciation, and Vocabulary. I am extremely flexible and able to tailor the classes to your individual needs.
Whether you want to focus on basic phonics or native pronunciation, I am a patient and detail-oriented teacher. I focus on student output and getting you speaking naturally. As a fluent Spanish speaker who learned as an adult, I understand how difficult it is to fully commit to speaking another language. I find it greatly rewarding to see my student´s progress.
