Hello! My name is Teacher John. I was born and raised here in beautiful Canada where I live now. I have lived abroad and worked in Asia, and have traveled extensively to over 100 countries. I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and exploring different opportunities wherever I am!
I have been teaching in many different positions for over 15 years, both online and in person. My teaching experiences range from younger children (ages 5 and up) to adults. I have taught University and College courses, corporate teaching and development, community athletic classes and English as a Second Language.
I have Bachelor Degrees from both Canada (Finance and History) and China (Economics). I am a certified TEFL Instructor (UK) and have obtained an Advanced TEFL Certification. I have taught online ESL courses to students in China, Japan, Vietnam, New Zealand and Philippines.
I am available for most types of instruction and tutoring. Please advise me if you have a particular interest. I am easy to work with and very adaptable! My specialties include ESL fundamentals, conversational improvement and overall fluency, as well as situational language skills (for travel, business, job preparation, and written document assistance).

Much of my previous teaching experience is with teenagers and adults looking for a relaxed yet professional setting to improve their everyday English skills. I can work with students to acquire a great and more broad vocabulary specifically suited to their needs or wishes (for everyday conversation, travel, business, etc).
For much of my professional career, I have worked with corporate clients and those requiring English improvement for the business practice. I have great experience working with business professionals in learning proper vocabulary and common phrases, and perfecting a more natural English accent. Have also taught cultural and situational customs and practices that arise in the business world. I have also have provided tutoring services for document preparation and editing.
I have taught ESL classes (online and in-person) to students aged 05- adult. Most of my ESL classes focus on grammar, free conversation and precise pronunciation. I strive to find common topics to practice with students, so they can easily apply their learning to their every day life. One of my specialties is working with Chinese and other Asian students working to perfect their natural English accent.
