Introduction:
I have been teaching through SkimaTalk since May 2014, and I love how it allows students to customize their lessons to their specific needs. I look forward to finding a format that helps you enhance your English communication skills! In addition to online teaching, I am an adjunct English as a Second Language (ESL) faculty member at three colleges in Iowa, and I tutor non-native English-speaking business professionals, engineers, doctors, etc. Being an English teacher is my second career. I previously was a tax attorney, and I worked for Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers. When I was at Deloitte, I was awarded the organization’s Quest Award, which recognizes excellence in coaching. In 2011, I was named “Exceptional New Tutor,” by St. Louis Community College for my work with adult ESL students. I received a B.S. from Valparaiso University, a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, and M.A. in ESL from Arizona State University. I worked for an international company as a manager, and I've been helping SkimaTalk students write and revise e-mails, memos, and other business communications for nearly two years.
