Hi! I’m Lindsay. I’m a Canadian currently living in Porto, Portugal. I have seven years of experience teaching worldwide and love meeting new people!
I taught with VIPKID for four years, teaching English to Chinese children online. Previously, I spent two years in Osaka, Japan teaching at a private English school with students of all ages, from babies to seniors. I also was a classroom English teacher at a school in Bangkok, Thailand.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and English, a Graduate Diploma in Journalism, and a Certificate in Digital Content and Communications. My experience is varied, I’ve had jobs in media, communications, journalism, and more, including at the CBC – Canada’s national broadcaster.
I pride myself on empowering my students to speak English confidently. As a warm teacher, I’m eager to have my students proceed with their language goals in a judgment-free setting. I also love laughing and having fun – so I’m sure you’ll find our classes engaging!
Additionally, I work as a professional freelance writer and podcast producer. This allows me to have a flexible schedule and accommodate students in time zones around the world.
