Born and raised in the Philippines, our main language is Filipino; all throughout school, we have been thought English and that paved the way for an easier transition when we moved to the United States. I have served in the US Air Force and that experience showed me the diversity of the military community and the civilian population in general and how important it is to be a good communicator in the English language. I believe that being a bilingual myself, I can offer a better way to learn the English language. It is not about changing your accent to a different one or knowing the slangs in a different level but to be able to communicate better and proficiently is the most important thing.
