Hello! My name is Olivia and I am recent college graduate living in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I aim to pursue mental health counseling. This year, I completed my Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate and have been privately tutoring English students.
During my time at university, I gained extensive experience working with students, leading study groups and helping classmates with difficult concepts. My past two jobs have involved mentoring students, providing support and resources for those struggling to gain their footing either personally or academically. For two years, I also worked to help students edit and revise their college application essays. As you can tell, I have a lot of experience working with people from all different backgrounds and abilities.
I am patient, approachable, and excited to help you with whatever English language need you have! I am an excellent teacher for English writing and for English basics, from grammar to vocabulary to everyday conversation. I believe everyone is capable of learning, no matter how difficult the subject may seem. Every individual has their own learning style which I will do my best to accommodate.
Outside of teaching, I love traveling to new places, hiking with my friends, walking my dog, and joining dance fitness classes. Now that you’ve learned a little about me, I can’t wait to meet you soon to help you reach your goals!
