Introduction:
Building vocabulary in a fun and natural way through relaxed conversation.
Hello, my name is Meagan and I am a CELTA qualified English Teacher. I was born in Canada and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Classical Studies from Bishop's University in Quebec. After graduation I moved to England and worked at the Royal Academy of Arts in London for almost 9-years.
After a serious accident I became interested in studying alternative health and earned qualifications in Acupressure, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. For the past 14-years I have been working as a therapist and freelance writer and researcher. My work has been published in books, magazines as well as online, and covers a wide range of topics such as alternative health, cooking, gardening, wildlife and writing for children.
I am involved in my local community and often give talks and demonstrations on healthy living, growing your own food and gardening to encourage wildlife. In fact my own garden has won 4 wildlife awards, which is something I am extremely proud of. My family live all over the world, which means I have a lot of choice when it comes to travelling, but I also like to explore new places and different cultures.
That’s enough about me. I would really like to learn about you. Why would you like to improve your English? What would you like me to help you with? What are your goals? I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve success in your language journey!
