Introduction:
I am an English teacher with 9 years of experience teaching all levels and all ages.
I always try to make my classes interesting, friendly and communicative. It is really important to speak as much as possible when you want to learn another language and I think it is the best way to practice and develop.
I studied English and Drama at university and I also have a TEFL teaching certificate. I have been lucky enough to live and teach in different countries: the UK, Latvia, Japan, Tanzania and Spain.
I have taught Japanese students before as I lived in Nagoya and taught at a university there. As well as this I also taught Japanese students on the Peace Boat as we travelled around the world.
I have experience teaching children from age 3 years old to adults. I have taught from Beginner level students to Proficiency level. I have also delivered exam preparation classes for Cambridge Exams including PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS.
Teaching Specialty:
This is a hugely important part of language learning and I am keen on helping students to increase their vocabulary
I have a lot of experience teaching this level and I am a very patient teacher
I have a great deal of material for Intermediate students and want to help develop your skills
Advanced students need to be pushed to expand their language and I will be able to encourage and help you to do this
I am a talkative person who enjoys discussing many different topics!
I am very confident teaching grammar and have lots of helpful ways of explaining and practicing grammar.
