Introduction:

Bilingual Management & Instruction Services

Hello I'm Robert originally from Ohio in the USA. I studied printmaking and Ukiyo-e from the Edo period, Japanese culture, and history while in university. My major was Art History with a double minor in Studio Art and Race and Ethnic Studies. I also wrote my senior thesis paper on Ukiyo-e.

I've been teaching English around the world since 2004. I have lived in Italy, Spain, Japan, Argentina, and for the last thirteen years in Costa Rica. I have taught adults and children for years and enjoy it very much! I love interacting with people and helping them learn and grow. I also love meeting people from different places and getting to know their culture and customs.

I am very excited to meet you in my class! I look forward to high energy lessons with students who are ready to be challenged! My hobbies include cooking, baking, listening to music, singing, bird watching, films, fasting, and exercise. I hope we can get to know each other, learn, and grow together!

I am very much enjoying having followers on SkimaTalk! I like keeping in touch a few times per week to build a better teacher-student relationship. It also gives my followers some extra material to look at outside of class. I like to send them encouragement, articles that provide positive reinforcement, and thought provoking material!

I have extensive knowledge and experience in editing papers, test preparation, interview preparation, and Business English. I have also worked with children and young adults of every age and level. I love focusing on good grammar, punctuation, pronunciation, and reading up on new or current topics. I also enjoy having natural conversations to improve speaking confidence. I take lots of notes during my lessons, make corrections when needed, and give detailed student reports afterwards. I also speak and study Spanish and am interested in other languages and how they evolve in general. Language is a living organism. Let's explore it together!
