Introduction:
I intend to help students achieve and develop new levels of English in a relaxed environment.
Hi, my name is Tristan. I am a Native English Speaker from Durban South Africa and am a TEFL certified teacher.
I have recently returned from Thailand where I taught English as a Foreign Language for one year. During my time in Thailand I taught in 3 different schools; 2 Government schools and 1 private school. I have experience teaching students of the ages 4-9. I taught subjects such as English language, phonics, English conversation and Maths.
My focus will be English basics; grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, Everyday English, English conversation along with free conversation, where we can discuss interests and you can speak freely to a Native English Speaker in a relaxed learning environment.
In my teaching experience it was rewarding to watch students grow and help them develop new levels of English which I intend to help you achieve!

Teaching Specialty:
I have mainly had experience in teaching kids as i taught in two primary schools teaching kids of the ages 4-9. It is fun and rewarding to teach students of these ages as most students are able to comprehend the lesson with ease. In my experience I have watched students grow both in character and in English.
Everyday English is an important part of speaking English as it is having a conversation. In this aspect we can discuss interests and learn new conversation words and topics that will aid you in speaking English confidently. In teaching conversation it is vital to correct grammar and pronunciation, I have experience teaching English conversation and am able to assist where necessary.
Learning new vocabulary is very useful and fun! A new word accompanied by a picture will help students relate the two therefore they will be able to identify the word with ease, this is made fun by playing vocabulary games ensuring that the new words are are easily comprehended.
General English basics is what I mainly taught during my time in Thailand. The focus was on grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. With the aid of flashcards and games I am able to grow a students knowledge on grammar and also allow students to learn new words and am able to correct pronunciation.
