Introduction:
My speciality is helping students to find the confidence to express themselves in a foreign language
Hello! I’m Grace, a native English speaker and experienced English teacher from Dublin, Ireland!
With almost 15 years of experience teaching English, I have a degree in Linguistics and am accredited by the British Council. I have worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, both online and in person. This includes exam preparation for Cambridge and TOEIC, as well as conversational lessons focused on confidence and fluency.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, art, and travelling, and I also have a strong interest in early years education and child development.
I have 15 years of experience teaching English to a wide range of learners, including teenagers, adults, and corporate clients.
This includes teaching teenagers in classroom-based group programmes, as well as delivering online grammar and conversation-focused lessons to adult and corporate learners.
I have prepared teenage and adult students for Cambridge exams at B1, B2, and C1 levels, as well as TOEIC.
My experience also includes a number of years spent in France, teaching English in bilingual preschool environments and providing private English tuition to children, university students, and adult learners.
My teaching approach is communicative and learner-focused, with a strong emphasis on speaking and understanding.
I aim to create a relaxed, supportive space where you can build confidence and make real progress in English!
Lessons are personalised and focused on your goals, whether that is exams, fluency, or clear communication. Book a first lesson to see how we can work together!
Teaching Specialty:
Sometimes small-talk can be difficult, even in your first language. I know from experience that making small talk in a foreign language can seem daunting but together we can work on some key expressions and vocabulary for the main topics that may come up in conversation.
Do certain situations in English make you feel nervous, even if you feel comfortable having a conversation? Together we can work on phrases and vocabulary and role-play potentially difficult situations, for example making a complaint in a restaurant, so that you can feel more confident and prepared.
I have several years of experience teaching conversational English and helping students to feel more confident.
