Teacher John Reiss's Page

Aloha! I'm John. I come from San Francisco and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm an experienced English teacher with a diverse background, and I am interested in helping you become a better speaker of my native language!

I have a lot of experience teaching English to students all over the world. I learned how to become an English teacher in Seville, Spain, where I earned my CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). My first teaching job was in Santiago, Chile, where I taught business and general English classes. From there, I went to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where I taught to children, teenagers, and adults. I also earned my second teaching qualification, the IHCYL (International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers). After Vietnam, I worked at a private university near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I taught English to university students from all over the world. I also have work experience in sales management, investment banking, legal research, and archaeology.

I have a master's degree in diplomacy and a juris doctor with a specialization in international law. I am very interested in international politics and the global situation. I enjoy traveling and have been to nearly 50 countries all around the world. I also enjoy trying different kinds of food and am interested in finding out what you like to eat.
