Fun conversation practice with a friendly native English speaker from the UK!
Hello, my name is Charley and I am from England. I have a 120 hour TEFL certificate and I have been teaching English at an online school for over 2 years now and I love it! I have taught children, teenagers and many adults from different backgrounds and we have become friends for life!
Many people can read and write in a foreign language but find it hard to speak and have conversations. This is where I come in. I offer students the chance to practise speaking English with a native speaker. Together we can discuss appropriate topics of your choice which will help you to improve in your speaking ability.
For example, I’ve had experience teaching foreign students who live in England that struggle to communicate with natives regarding day to day activities. This is because when students learn English, they may not realise how common it is for natives to speak using slang, idioms and phrasal verbs. Also, they may not have learnt common everyday vocabulary. In our lessons you will learn vocabulary that will help you get closer to becoming a fluent English speaker.
I’m a friendly, caring and patient person and I always want my students to feel comfortable and relaxed during our lessons. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes because that is how we learn.

Did you know that the word 'bloke' is slang for man, or 'loo' is slang for toilet? Slang is very commonly used when conversing in English so let's learn lots of brilliant slang words! I am sure you will find it entertaining!
Do you want to know why English people say 'it's raining cats and dogs' or 'it's a piece of cake'? Let's learn common idioms, phrasal verbs and interesting vocabulary together. To be fluent in English, expressions such as these are so important to know. Expressions can seem confusing but let's practice using them together in real life!
Let's have interesting conversations together! We could discuss topics such as travel, food, music, world news or anything that interests you! Talking is the most effective way to pick up a languge. I will correct your mistakes in a kind way to help you make progress and encourge you to use new vocabulary.

I currently teach at an online English school but I am looking for some extra students!
