Hi! My name is Deeani and I presently live in Miyazaki, Japan. I'm a recent graduate from the University of Miami who specialized in International Studies and Anthropology. I have been tutoring native speakers of English in English literature and reading comprehension for the last 4 years, and have been teaching ESL learners since 2017.
My hobbies include creative writing, baking and cooking international cuisines, and language learning. I've been learning Japanese and Chinese for the last three years and hope to be fluent one day! I am a firm believer in learning another language to expand one's worldview, and to expand my own worldview I enjoy hearing about my students' cultures and experiences!

My job is to teach English to Latin American students ages 8-14 online. The lessons are pre-prepared and are designed to engage the student in language immersion.
