My name is Evan. I am a native English speaker, and I’m an experienced professional teacher. I have a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I have taught in Japan, Mexico, Korea and Canada.

Are you a beginner? Are you an advanced learner but feel like you are not improving? I specialize in teaching beginners, and coaching advanced students who want to be more confident in their speaking, writing, and presentation skills.

Whether you are learning English for school, for work, or for fun, I will adapt the learning sessions to your needs. I’ll help you improve your pronunciation and expand your vocabulary. I have theatre experience, and I use actor's techniques to help students become expressive, confident and fluent.

I am good at teaching languages because I know how to learn languages. It’s not a talent; it is a skill that anyone can develop. I studied French in school, but I didn’t learn it. As an adult, I learned to speak French and Spanish fluently. Now I am learning to communicate in American Sign Language and Portuguese.

You can become fluent in English. How many years you have studied is not important; what matters is how many hours in a week you speak, listen, and read.
