Hi I’m JC. I'm a native English speaker and a qualified TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) teacher.
I specialise in intermediate, advanced and business English as well as IELTS and Cambridge Exam preparation. I’ve taught English in both classrooms and online, and pride myself on the success of my students.
I also have a long history dealing with corporate environments, so I can teach you from personal experience on how to approach meetings, presentations and interviews in English, which I’ve been doing for years myself.
I have a passion for traveling, having done so throughout Europe, North America and China and I’ve also lived and worked in the UK, US, China, Malta and Spain, so I have a rounded view of English and Western culture and can’t wait to share that with you, as you share your own culture with me.

There are two lesson plans specifically targeting IELTS requirements. The IELTS Speaking course and the IELTS Writing course. I take you through the exam format step by step and work through various practical lessons and tasks with you, so by the time you sit for the exams, you'll feel calm and ready.
I have plenty of personal experience with using English in a corporate environment and plan on structuring lessons around the student's needs, be it for meetingss, interviews or presentations.
I use a range of materials to teach you Everyday English.

I was responsible for creating class presentations from a predefined syllabus, which mostly contained vocabulary and basic dialogue. I had to come up and create creative, fun and attention-grabbing class activities

Working with high school students these last 3 years has definitely taught me patience. I've also had to work on my explanation skills so that everyone can understand what I'm trying to explain. I tried to make my lessons fun and engaging so I could keep the attention of the whole class, which wasn't always easy.
