As an American citizen, I am a native speaker of English. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents. With 3 years of experience as an English assistant in Spain, I really enjoy teaching and practicing English with my students in a fun and interactive way taught religious education at my church for 4 years and started a basketball program for local teenagers and coached many teams. I have also practiced English with many adults in my life and can also help adults enhance their skills too.

My technique is to learn about my students and get to know their interests, strengths, and weaknesses in order to motivate them to fully immerse themselves in the English language. Creating lessons based on their interests and teaching to their level of expertise provides confidence for the student to improve rather than discouraging their progress. Rewarding my students’ achievement has increased their desire to improve. My objective is to create a fun, learning atmosphere designed to increase interest in learning English.

I have also worked as a camp guide at an English camp in Germany for the past 4 summers. This camp has enhanced my abilities. My method for teaching English in a fun and entertaining environment through games, sports, and activities has been successful with children ages 8-16, I have learned how to relate and be an effective role model for each age. I have also learned how to organize and manage activities for large groups of students.
