Hello! My name is Patrick, and I am an English teacher from the United States. I started teaching English in China, and later I also taught in Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Colombia. I now work as a certified English as a Second language teacher in public schools in my home state of Tennessee. In total, I have more than 15 years of experience teaching English to non-native speakers. One of my favorite things about living and traveling abroad is meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I enjoy following the news, particularly international relations. I can select news articles based on students' interests, or we can chat about current events. I can also try to explain the current situation in the United States to anyone who is interested.
I have spent a lot of time living and traveling in other countries, so I know the types of language that may be required in different situations. I think that role playing is a great way to practice situational conversations.
English can be confusing, but I can use my experience to help explain and clarify any questions you may have.
