My name is Reuben. I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in Northern Ireland and thus I have a Northern Irish accent and I can also speak our dialect fluently. I can, of course, also teach and speak in a standardised British fashion.

I can also speak German, French and Cantonese. Due to my years of language learning, I found out what some of the secrets are to learn a foreign language easily. I understand that different people learn in different ways and thankfully, I have had 5 years of experience in tutoring German and English to people.

I have a bachelors in German with French, including a diploma in International Academic Studies, and I am currently studying on a masters course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. This course provides me with new techniques and methods constantly which add to my previous knowledge.

If you'd like to learn English in a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable environment, come to me. Also if you are serious, at improving your English for a trip or exam, I am also able to help. If grammar is your thing, then we can have some great lessons, as I thoroughly love grammar and I can make it come to life! Do you want to have a British accent? Or something different, like a lovely Northern Irish accent, then I am your man.

I am really looking forward to meeting new people and helping you on your language journey.

- A note to students -
If you choose a course then I will have materials prepared for it. I teach in a friendly and open manner which many students seem to appreciate. Please feel free to tell me what level you are at or what you feel that you need to work on.

If you are booking your first lesson with me then please either choose a course or free conversation. Free conversation is a good way for me to be able to see what level you are at in English and then I can suggest a course for us to work on.

If you book a free conversation class and we have never had a lesson with each other before then please do not expect that I will have materials prepared for that class. It is impossible for me to supply materials for someone that I have never met or even for someone when I do not know what level they are at in their English.

A free conversation lesson is exactly what it sounds like; a chance to speak with a native speaker one-on-one. If you have a specific area you would like to talk about then, we can easily do that. If you bring an article to work on then that is also fine. But please do not expect me to automatically know what to have for you when we have never spoken before! :)
