My name is Chelsie Christianson, I was born and raised in Southern California in the United States of America but i currently live in the Dominican Republic. I have a TEFL certification to teach English from TEFL Express, and have been teaching English as a second language for over a year. However i have over 5 years of experience as a volunteer tutor in my community. I love learning new languages and I am fluent in American Sign Language and I'm currently learning Spanish. Because of my own experience of learning a foreign I understand many of the different difficulties and road blocks that come with learning a new language. But I also know the excitement and feeling of accomplishment when you widen your vocabulary, master a new aspect of the language's grammar, or simply feeling comfortable holding a conversation with a native speaker. I also specialize in teach children from ages 5-12 the English language! This motivates me to remain organized and get creative with my teaching styles and techniques to make sure that you get the most out of each and every session. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to working with you in the future.
I trained specifically in phonics and CVC word practice. My main focus was children from ages 4-12. Also I've adapted this to adult learning.
