Teaching English to Speakers of Foreign Languages
My name is Eva and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I majored in Japanese/International Business from "North Central College" and have a TEFL Certification as well. I speak English and Greek fluently and am learning Japanese and German. I have lived in Greece and Japan and have traveled to Jamaica, Mexico, Germany, Iceland, and Albania. My hobbies are yoga, Lyra, art, photography, travel, cooking, and fitness (I am a certified personal trainer).
FYI: If you'd like to have a lesson with me, but you don't see a booking time that meets your schedule, please don't hesitate to message me about it and I'll see what I can open up for you!
I've taught all levels of SkimaTalk's "Role Play" classes and these are wonderful for learning new vocabulary words/phrases (and practicing making sentences with them), pronunciation, and practicing role plays in various types of situations. These classes are perfect for learning new common phrases.
Are you interviewing for a new English speaking job or an MBA in an English speaking country? We can practice necessary interview questions while I correct you along the way.
I will help you reduce your accent and make you sound more like an American native speaker.
I've taught all levels of "Case Studies" here on SkimaTalk. This is a wonderful lesson because it combines all elements of English and you will always learn something new. If you're interested in learning new vocabulary words, and practicing your reading, comprehension, and listening skills along with having a short free discussion at the end...this is definitely your class!
Are you interested in learning some fun American English slang words? I will teach you all the modern slang words from "bae" to "on fleek" and how you can use them correctly.
Let's have a conversation about any topic you like (and I'll correct you along the way)! One of the most effective ways to learn a language is to use it as much as you can by talking about fun and random topics such as hobbies, interests, favorite movies, favorite foods, favorite music, business, politics, etc.
It is very important to know how to put together an English sentence correctly, so let's learn about the correct usage of nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions.
I am here to help you learn English no matter what level you're at. I have taught complete beginners along with intermediate and advanced students. I will work at your level and your pace, and teach you all the English basics (grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and spelling) by making our classes fun and interesting.
