Increasing students' confidence and helping them achieve their goals.
Hello! I'm Kayla. I've been teaching English as a second language to students for over 2 years and I love it so much! In High School and University, I studied French. I even studied at a French University for 1 semester. Now, I live in Japan so I'm working hard to study Japanese. I understand how difficult it is to learn a new language and it can be scary to talk to native speakers. My #1 goal is to help students gain the confidence and skills they need to achieve their English-speaking dreams! I love all areas of English study and I specialize in: -Pronunciation (my native accent is Midwest USA but I can teach all accents) -Grammar -Casual Conversation -Travel Preparation -Business English I hope to see you soon!
Teaching Specialty:
The best way to quickly level up your fluency isn't to study grammar and phrases, it's just practicing speaking with someone! I take lots of notes throughout the lesson for you so don't worry about making mistakes. Feel free to choose an article to discuss or let the conversation flow naturally, either way, we will have fun!
Accent reduction is so fun! We will practice saying phrases you already know and apply the rules for a truly natural, native speaker sound.
Be ready to let loose and laugh as we practice common problem vowel/consonant sounds! We will use phonics to train your mouth to create the correct sound to match your favorite accent.
