I specialise in reading skills and reading comprehension.
To whom it may concern,
I have 12 years of ESL teaching experience, and I have a TEFL certificate. I worked in South Korea and Japan. I have worked at a conversation school where I frequently taught students using Breaking News English. I'd like to continue those types of lessons, so I'm looking for students that have a conversational level of English with some reading abilities. We can build your vocabulary and improve your speaking skills through conversation.
Teaching Specialty:
Based on my experience in Japan, ESL learners especially have trouble with sounds like 'b' or 'v'. Listening for a neutral accent, and correcting pronunciation by modelling, drilling, and writing a visual display for students to see.
The TEFL method involves modelling, drilling, and making a visual display such as writing the word for the student to see.
Extensive reading is a great way to build vocabulary such as reading news articles.
