Hi! My name is Sarah and I'm from Sydney, Australia. Currently, I'm living in Madrid and studying UX Design. I enjoy reading, cooking, film, and TV. I also love to meet new people and enjoy learning about other cultures and what it's like living in another part of the world.
I especially enjoy helping people, sometimes just by listening. I have also learned another language and so I have empathy with language learners and I can share what has worked for me.
I am a TEFL certified teacher and have been teaching adults levels A1 ~ C1. I have a lot of patience to help my students achieve their goals. I speak clearly with a neutral accent. I'll patiently help you with pronunciation and vocabulary. We can talk about a lot of different topics, to improve your conversational skills, and I can also help you with exam preparation.
Teaching Specialty:
At an intermediate/advanced level, it can often feel difficult to improve. To push past to a higher level, we need to continue to broaden vocabulary range, promote goal setting, use role play to develop communication skills and to develop business writing skills. The Skimatalk Business courses are an excellent choice to do this, or we can come up with our own plan catered to your needs.
I can help you to practice presentations in English to help get your confidence up and perfect any grammatical mistakes. I can also help you to word your presentation to make the wording clear and concise so that it is easier to understand.
These days, many people want to improve their Business English skills to get ahead in their careers. If working effectively in an international environment is your goal, improving your business English vocabulary and knowledge is a must- I can help with that!
I'm a native English speaker and enjoy conversation- let's chat! We will use speaking activites to practise English, using interesting topics to discuss your opinions. We we will use my personal resources and also activities online, and activities from English practice books. We will use a variety of material to explore lots of different ways to express your ideas.
With me, the student will expand their vocabulary every lesson.
I think conversation, along with some grammar tips, is the best way to learn English. The more conversation, the more confidence!
