Hello everyone! My name is Michael and I’m hoping to be your English teacher!
I started my career working in corporate accounting and finance. After doing this for nine years, I was ready to make a change and I decided to follow a new passion, and become a teacher. Over the last couple of years, I have been teaching English online to adults with an intermediate-advanced level. I also have a math teaching certificate and spent some time teaching middle school students at an international school.
I love teaching English online because it allows me to meet interesting people all over the world. I love connecting with others and helping them achieve their goals. I consider myself to be a friendly, patient, and empathetic person. I know that it can be intimidating talking with a native English speaker, which is why my first priority when I meet a student is to make sure they feel comfortable with me as their teacher.
Due to my business background, I specialize in business English, but I also regularly help students prepare for IELTS speaking exams. I am also open to having conversation practice about any topic you are interested in.
A bit more about me: I’m originally from the United States, but have been living in Bangkok, Thailand since 2019. I moved to Thailand because I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I love living here because it’s affordable, the food is amazing, the people are friendly, and there are many beautiful beaches nearby to visit. In my daily life, I enjoy exercising, trying out new restaurants, watching reality TV, and spending time with my husband and our dog.

Prepare for all parts of an interview: “Tell me about yourself”, questions about you, and situational questions, and a full mock interview
