My name is Robert Brower. I was born and raised in California. After graduating from UC Irvine, I moved abroad and now have over ten years teaching experience in three different countries. Although my experience teaching has been at all levels, from age 3 to 65, I prefer to teach adults. I also have several years management
experience in IT and in service industries. I have owned small businesses and have worked in large corporations developing excellent communication skills across cultures and languages. I have done a considerable amount of staffing and training. Living and working in five different cultures around the world has helped me to strengthen my inter-personal skills with an attention to detail, organization and punctuality.
Teaching Specialty:
Discussion and debate of a topic followed by a student presentation. The student can use information from our discussion to develop a simple presentation which will support their point of view.
Use of specific topics, related to the student's field of expertise or interest to develop and reinforce situational vocabulary and conversation.
Using a variety of short English articles and videos to stimulate conversation, I will ask questions to help improve comprehension and stimulate discussion.
