Teacher Joshua Mahon's Page

Hello! My name is Joshua, but you can call me Josh. I am from England, but I used to live in Spain, and I currently live in Costa Rica. I am fluent in Spanish, so I understand how difficult it is to learn another language. Therefore, I endeavor to make my lessons fun, interesting, and informative so that my students can improve as quickly as possible.

I have taught English professionally for over three years and conducted thousands of online lessons in that time. I have also passed a 150 hours Advanced TEFL course. I have experience in teaching General English from A1 to C2, and I have taught both children and adults of all different age groups. Additionally, I have helped many people prepare for their MBA and IELTS exams. I am here to help you, so whatever your needs are, and whatever goals you have, it would be my pleasure to give you the support that you need.

I specialize in helping my students to improve their grammar, pronunciation, conversation skills, and vocabulary, so I like to focus on these topics in our lessons. However, if you would like to focus on just one of these subjects, or if you would the lesson to be about something completely different, I will adapt the lesson to suit your needs and preferences.

The vast majority of my students are from Japan, but I also enjoy speaking with people from other countries as well. I love exploring new cultures, meeting new people, and traveling around the world, so I am really looking forward to meeting you and finding out a little bit about your culture as well.
